The International Fellowship of Pastors or "IFOP" is a support ministry for pastors, ministers, and laypeople from various denominations and backgrounds. The goal of this ministry is bringing unity to the Church or Body of Christ, by supplying sound biblical teaching materials that help guide in the practical application of biblical principles and doctrines.
This ministry was birthed in 2015 when founder and president Vince Inosencio was holding a minister’s conference in Busia, Uganda East Africa. Reverend Inosencio was speaking on the subject of inner healing. After the conference about a dozen ministers approached the reverend and asked for more information about inner healing. After the discussion was over the ministers asked if they could have more of this kind of teaching. It was discussed that if those ministers would meet twice a month in a designated place, teaching materials would be sent to them for in-depth study.
We are currently developing leaders to carry on the message of "Unity in the Body of Christ" throughout the continent of Africa. These ministers are now representatives of the International Fellowship of Pastors and are taking the message of unity in the body of Christ to other villages, regions, and countries in Africa.
When presenting the ministry to other villages and cities, the interested ministers will invite other ministers from their surrounding areas for a seminar to establish an IFOP center. Normally word of mouth spreads far beyond the immediate locale and invitations are extended to bring the IFOP ministry to other locations and countries in Africa.
In each country, there is a coordinator established to oversee the distribution of teaching materials and to establish new IFOP centers as the good news spreads.
Some coordinators are provided with a printer for printing copies of the material to distribute to the IFOP centers. The main office of The International Fellowship of Pastors in the USA helps to fund coordinators when they travel abroad to establish new centers. Where there are concentrated IFOP centers in a region, funds are raised to buy motorcycles to provide coordinators transportation, so they do not have to hire transportation, which is quite costly.
The impact that this ministry is having through it's teachings is extraordinary. Many community churches have caught the vision of unity in the body of Christ.
Mission Statement
Vision
Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.
The vision of the International Fellowship of Pastors is to bring healing and unity to pastors abroad and to strengthen each pastor through a solid base of spiritual support and oversight. It is imperative that pastors are of the same mind and spirit. Therefore, IFOP will supply teachings to train, equip, and encourage IFOP members.
Because many pastors are left alone in the work of the ministry, this makes them a target for being abused and devoured by the onslaughts of the enemy of God’s kingdom. Discouragement, weariness, doubt, and hurt will attack a pastor who does not have a good base of support. As a result, the feeling of separation keeps a pastor isolated from the fellowship of others.
International Fellowship of Pastors provides the following for each pastor;
Teaching; Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
It is recognized by International Fellowship of Pastors that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and so it is accepted that the Word of God be the standard by which the codes of conduct of the members of International Fellowship of Pastors are expected to abide by as quoted in 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Fellowship; Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
It is of utmost importance that pastors be in fellowship on a consistent basis so International Fellowship of Pastors is making this available by having it members meet regularly to discuss teachings, issues and prayer needs. Through this activity pastors will have a sanctuary of support to go to in times of need. Proverbs 27:17 says “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
Guidance; Proverbs 11:14 (ESV) “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” It is imperative that pastors have a sounding board to receive input to questions that they may have or to get advice concerning certain situations that may arise in their perspective congregations, so to have a fellowship of Godly men who can pray and extract answers from the word of God is greatly beneficial to a pastor, Proverbs says in 24:6 “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
